I am busy finishing artwork and framing it to get ready to install this exhibit in a few weeks at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park. I will have about thirty pieces total, half of which I completed in Shetland and half I completed over the last couple of months. The opening reception will be on Friday, June 24, from 6:30-9:30 pm, and everyone is welcome to attend. The show is sponsored both by West Suburban Medical Center and The Oak Park Art League.

Update: I just got word that the wonderful Kathy Hirsh and her group, Wabi Sabi, (“nothing is permanent, nothing is ever finished and nothing is ever perfect”), will be playing live music at the opening reception! They play mandolin, guitar and fiddle, and usually play at contra dances. I’m so excited!
