First, the winter tennis league I joined at the gym turned out to be a lot of fun, and our team made it to the semi-finals last week, where my partners and I won both matches (ladies doubles and mixed doubles), and we’re moving on to the championship on May 3 and 4! Exciting! My match record is at 50/50 overall, and it’s been a great first experience playing competitive tennis. (Update on Saturday, May 4 – I and my partners won our matches and our team won the championship! WooHoo!)
Second, yesterday was my last day of training at Misericordia Heart of Mercy. It has been an intense five weeks of full time classes and tests and training and certifications. On my last day I got to play water basketball in the pool with a very sweet resident before taking the final exam and turning in mountains of paperwork. Next week begins my art department training, and then on April 29 I’ll start in my classroom. Here it is:
Misericordia is a really special place. I feel so lucky to be there.
I am hoping to get back into my studio this weekend and get back into paintings I have been working on but had to leave for a while in favor of studying for tests and recovering from my new schedule and commute.
Wishing everyone a happy Easter, and here’s hoping we’re finally going to have some consistent Spring weather. It’s so nice to see things turning green, especially after a freak snowstorm last weekend.
